How do I interact with the form?
Why should Atmiyata interest me?
Atmiyata is a community led mental health intervention that tackles the mental health treatment gap in a very accessible, quality assured and evidence-based manner. The Atmiyata model has been scaled across 14 states highlighting the effectiveness of the model. If you are interested in community mental health, then Atmiyata should interest you.
Why should I get involved and how?
If you want to implement a mental health model in your community or train your organization in community mental health, then you should fill in the form above and our team will get back to you.
If I want to do Atmiyata in my community, how can I do it?
Atmiyata offers two partnership pathways: Full Implementation and Capacity Building. If you fill in the ‘Get Involved’ Form mentioning a clear intent to adopt Atmiyata in your community, our team will write to you to explore the first step of the process: Scope wherein you will receive more information. In the meantime, we encourage you to write to us and go through our partnerships page.
I am unsure how to run a mental health programme. Will writing to you help?
Yes, the Atmiyata Team offers various capacity building trainings to run a mental health programme along with implementation support. Writing to us will help you get further clarity on what it means to run a mental health programme.
About Atmiyata
Does Atmiyata provide direct clinical services?
No, Atmiyata does not provide clinical services. Rather, it aims to reduce the ‘mental health treatment gap’ by training community volunteers called “Champions” to provide psychosocial support to people in distress, make public health referrals and facilitate access to benefits.
Can students or universities engage with Atmiyata?
Yes, students and universities can adopt the Atmiyata course to build an understanding of the nuances of community mental health care in rural communities.

How can an organisation partner with Atmiyata?
Atmiyata offers two partnership models: Full Implementation and Capacity Building. If you are interested in partnering with Atmiyata, please go through the partnerships page to familiarize yourself with the process and then fill the ‘Get Involved’ form on this page above mentioning an interest in partnering with us. The Atmiyata team will do the next necessary steps of reaching out and initiating a conversation with you.
Does Atmiyata support implementation in new geographies?
Yes, Atmiyata supports implementation in new geographies and demographics as long as there is a value alignment and community is put at the heart of the intervention.
What information should be included in a partnership enquiry?
The ‘Get Involved’ Form is a straightforward form that asks for very basic details. There are no right or wrong answers. Please include the details we’ve asked for and the Atmiyata team will go ahead with the process once we receive your enquiry.
Does Atmiyata partner with global organisations and how?
Yes, we partner with global organisations in varying capacities. Atmiyata has been adopted in East London, UK quite recently and we are keen to explore other opportunities to take Atmiyata across the globe. Training Enquiries
Can organisations request trainings or workshops?
Atmiyata provides capacity building training and workshops to equip organisations to identify and support people in distress or as part of an introductory session to familiarise people with elements of community mental health. If you write to us or fill the ‘Get Involved’ form mentioning your interest in a training, the Atmiyata team will initiate a conversation with you.
Why should I get involved and how?
The training equips you to understand how a community mental health programme can be run in your community or how you can support your community with mental health care.
Is Atmiyata training charged?
No, Atmiyata training is not free. However, we are open to a conversation on how to help you fund the full implementation or the capacity building training.

Are there any scholarships available for the Atmiyata Course?
No – there are no scholarships available for the Atmiyata course. However, we charge a nominal amount to access the course. More details available here:
Collaborations & Funding
I am a researcher looking for a collaboration. How can I do that with Atmiyata?
Atmiyata welcomes researchers looking to work in the community mental health space to write to us and explore our careers page.
Who do we collaborate with and how?
Atmiyata collaborates with a range of stakeholders: policymakers, funders, researchers, CSOs, universities, charities, young graduates and students to further the understanding of community mental health.
Does Atmiyata accept CSR partnerships?
Yes – however we have very specific requirements to take a CSR partnership. We welcome organisations with a genuine interest in community mental health space who want to support the work for a considerable number of years.
Can government bodies collaborate with Atmiyata?
Yes – Government bodies are welcome to collaborate with Atmiyata in various capacities. We appreciate an interest or commitment to community mental health. Even if you are not well-versed with the nuances of mental health, we welcome conversations to help you build an understanding of mental health and how government support can help us support communities in the longer run for real impact.
